Greetings from the West,
Brothers, Well there is not much to report from the West this month. The biggest news is that our Fellow Craft Lionel Sanders, has given back his Catechism, and we are in the process of planning his being raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason. “Congratulations Brother Sanders. ”We also have our two Entered Apprentice’s Brother Chris Pagan, and Brother Jason
Meeks well on their way to giving back their EA Catechism’s and being Passed to the Degree of Fellow Craft.
Brothers it has been a pleasure to assist the Lodge with the Trestle Board the past ten months. However, as I mentioned this will be my last Trestle Board for a while, as my cable tow not only in my vocation, but in Masonry has become tighter. I will still be submitting my Senior Warden article and other educational articles for submission, and assisting where my cable tow allows. It is time for this duty to be shared by others as we all should be cross trained in all of the obligations and aspects of the Lodge and its business.
Also Brothers, we need to extend a heartfelt Congratulations to Brother Harold Malone, who has been a Master Mason for 50 YEARS! Brother Malone's anniversary was back on 4 Dec 11, and on behalf of the Lodge I do apologize for the oversight. Last but not least I would like to congratulate our Junior Deacon, Brother Mike Neveitt for earning his Sliver Card. Keep up the good work Brother, and I hope others will follow in your footsteps and express their ZEAL for the cause of Free Masonry!
On the Level
Brother Tom Quay
Well, we just got over our first hurdle of the year...yes, you guess it...our first stated meeting of the year. While it looks like we could all use some practice, I think we did pretty good especially for the newbies in their newly elected and appointed positions.
Also, it time for our first Breakfast of the year, Saturday, January 14, 8:30 - 10:30 at our lodge. I hope you and your friends can make it. It is a wonderful time of fellowship and great food that is prepared by a professional chef. You can't beat it...and its only for a suggested five dollar donation. Please try to make it, and if you cannot make it this month, do not worry my brother, for we have this every month on the second Saturday, so no excuses!
